Art sux Gallery

Art SUX Gallery artist Shannon Sargent served six years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a mountaineering instructor, then earned a Bachelor of Science in art from Morningside College in 2000 and a Master of Fine Arts in painting from the University of South Dakota in 2002.

Sargent is currently the exhibitions/collections coordinator for the Sioux City Art Center where he maintains the permanent collection and installs exhibitions. He also teaches sculpture classes and serves as gallery coordinator for Morningside College.
Shannon produces and shows his work throughout the region. His art is part of collections in six states, and he is a frequent juror for art exhibits and a former artist-in-residence for both the Sioux City Art Center and the University of Texas Permian Basin.
